The Active Adult Centre of Mississauga (AACM) is a recreational, wellness, and community engagement hub for adults 50+ years of age. 

Attended by thousands of members and stakeholders annually, the Centre offers a wide array of weekly classes, events, and programs focused on fitness, creativity, and multicultural enrichment. As a registered charity, the AACM keeps older adults in Mississauga, Peel, and the Greater Toronto Area active, independent, and engaged with their community.

Founded in 1992 and originally known as the Square One Older Adult Centre (SOOAC), the Centre meets the diverse social and educational needs of its members thanks to a range of affordable, accessible, and stimulating programs and activities that strengthen the body, enliven the mind, and awaken the spirit.

The Active Adult Centre of Mississauga offers a variety of active classes and social programs for adults who are 50+. We encourage you to visit the Centre location at Central Parkway Mall, Ste. 116, Second Floor, 377 Burnhamthorpe Road East, Mississauga, Monday through Saturday between 9:00am and 4:00pm to pick up a hard copy of our Guide and take a brief tour of the Centre. You can also visit aacmiss.ca /schedule-1 to download an electronic copy of our Guide and our Schedule.

You are welcome to come to the Centre location at Central Parkway Mall, Ste. 116, Second Floor, 377 Burnhamthorpe Road East to attend up to 4 times, paying for each visit, before you must purchase a membership. For more information email info@aacmiss.ca or call 905 615- 3207.

Memberships can only be purchased in person. Come to the Centre location at Central Parkway Mall, Ste. 116, Second Floor, 377 Burnhamthorpe Road East to purchase your membership at the Administration Desk, Monday through Saturday between 9:00am and 4:00pm. For more information email info@aacmiss.ca or call 905 615-3207.

Once you have purchased a membership, you may register for programs on line by visiting https://myactivecenter.com/ and using your membership number to create an account.

Yes, the Active Adult Centre of Mississauga relies on volunteers to assist with Special Events, Travel, Cafeteria, Governance, Support and Administration. Both older adults and students may apply. Please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator at 905 615-3207 Ext. 104 for more information.
